Month: August 2007

  • I took off from work early that day to make it to the bash.  I drove 2
hours from NYC to Atlantic City, NJ to meet the group there at 5:00pm.
I got there just in time.  About 11 brides showed up where the famous Mark Eric and Jason Dominguez
greeted us.  We were then taken up into a suite to get changed and
ready for the shoot.  It was lively to say the least, in the suite with
all the girls running around getting ready, doing hair & make up.
There was also a camera crew there from Germany documenting the bash.
When we were all ready all the brides paraded down in their gowns
through the casino and to the boardwalk where the photographers were
waiting patiently for us to arrive.  We caused quite a scene on the
casino floor, with a lot of guys asking us to marry them as we walked
by (really old gross ones too! eww).  We walked out of the hotel doors
onto the boardwalk and were greeted by a roar of applause by the
photographers waiting outside.  I was in shock.  I didn't know there
would be so many photographers there.  We were then paired up with 4-5
photographers to each bride and we were off!  We started taking
pictures inside the hotel and worked our way out.  If there was ever a
time where I felt like a movie star this was it.  I had 4 cameras on me
at all times.  It was extremely foggy that evening.  I'm talking about
10 feet visibility and at first I was a bit upset by it.  Because most
of the TTD pics I've ever seen were in a bright & sunshiny
setting.  But later I realized how it added an extra something to the
tone & mood of the pictures.  My group of photographers were
great.  They made me feel at total ease in front of the camera.  I was
able to let loose and have fun.  I trudged through sand, climbed up on
a small pier, not to mention I laid down on it and it was full of green
algae, I got wet in the water, all in all I had tons of fun.

Here are some sneak peek pictures from the shoot given to me by Arthur & Katya of Story Motion Studios
who were wonderful to work with, and were sweet enough to provide me
with these to show you while I wait for the rest of the photos to
    arrive.

Oh and as for my dress?  When I came home I rinsed it out with some
mild detergent in the tub and hung it dry.  I think it's ready for
another TTD shoot.  It's as good as new again!

  • Be Our Guest... Part I

It's countdown time for me.  As of this weekend I have but one month away 'till my wedding.  Eek!  So much to do so little time!  My RSVPs have been comming in en masse, but of course now it's down to a slow trickle and I still have those that we are hounding down for.  To those that have written a little ditty, or a congrats, or blessings I thank you.  But those that didn't write anything... boooooooooooo booooooooooooooooooooo to you! :(    When I pull the cards outta my mailbox & I see nothing written on it I litterally "booo" aloud.

I've been putting my RSVPs in a scrapbook that I will leave at the sign-in table for people to peruse through when the come in.  So they can see what they, and others wrote, and of course to those that didn't write anything... feel like a loser for not writing me anything!  Again.. booooooooo boooooooooo to you!  But I'm glad you're attending! LOL

Here's just a few of them I took a picture of when I started adding them to the scrapbook.  I plan to decorate them with some stickers/stamps to make it look a bit more lively.  Stay tuned for Part II !!~

I know, I know, I've totally been slacking at this, but I've been so busy.  Not only with wedding planning, but my job is also relocating to NYC from Long Island so I've been busy with that as well.  But yes yes, as far as posting I've been a total slacker.  I'm surprised the girls haven't changed my name/icon to Slacker Bee!
