  • I need Orgasm

First off, get your mind out of the frickin' gutter.  I'm talking about lip color/lipstick for my wedding day.  My absolute most favorite lipcolor in the world is Orgasm, by NARS.  Unfortunately it only comes in a lipgloss.  I need something that'll last dammnit.  I don't just want an orgasm that'll last to my 1st drink, I want a long lasting one dammnit!  *ahem*  What's not to love about this color??  It has a sheer warm pinkish-coral tone with a touch of golden shimmer.  I can't believe NARS doesn't make a long-wearing lip color in this.  My hunt 1st brought me to Sephora a makeup mecca in your local mall.  I think my hand had a bagillion different smudges of lip color on it and to my dismay, none even remotely came close to Orgasm.    So I turned to MAC.  They have a great selection of the long wearing lipcolor.  And I was thrilled to find something that came close enough for government work, to the NARS Orgasm. However, I had to get a little creative. What I got was:

-MAC Pro-Longwear Lustre Lipcolor  in 'Luv-4-Ever'

    -MAC Lustreglass in 'Instant Gold'

    -MAC Lip Pencil in 'Subculture'

Now yes, the Pro-Longwear Lipcolor does  come with a lipglass, but the color it comes with is called 'Mirror'.  It gives a silvery shimmer to the lipcolor.  If you use the Luv-4-Ever color base with the Mirror lipgloss it comes with the color in the outcome is nowhere near Orgasm.  However, if you apply Instant Gold lustreglass on after the Luv-4-Ever sets... you get an instant longwearing, let's party all night 'till the cows come home, longlasting Orgasm!!~  Wait a minute... would this be considered a fake orgasm?

  • Manchurian Noodles

A few years back I bought a case of Manchurian Noodles, you know they are like Cup O' Noodles type of instant noodle soup thing.  I brought it to work and had it for lunch when there wasn't anything else to eat and I was too broke/lazy/fat to go out for fast food.  So I would decline to my coworkers & say, "No, thanks. I'm going to have my instant Manchurian Noodles for lunch today."  This went on for about a year or so until one day while I was eating my noodles I looked at the packaging and to my horror, it wasn't Manchurian Noodles at all.  I was like, "Oh shit!! They're called Maruchan Noodles!!"  My world was shattered.  All this time I thought I was being cool and ethnic for eating Manchurian Noodles.  *sigh*  Ignorance is bliss.  I enjoyed it more when I thought they were Manchurian Noodles.  My friends, family, co-workers, strangers still mock me for this one. They still ask me if I'm having Manchurian Noodles for lunch/breakfast/dinner/supper/snack.

Thanks a lot Jackholes!!~  I know you guys will never let me live this one down will you?!

  • When can I see you again...

As my 1st fitting date draws closer, yes I am nervous about losing enough weight in time.  But I'm just waiting and counting the days until I can see her again.  I had it on protected post before, but here is the picture of when I went to try on my gown, as soon as it came in a few months ago.  I love her...

Sweetie if you're reading this STOP NOW!!!~

  • Light up the sky, let me light up the sky for you.

I saw this great DYI tutorial on making LED light up balloons on www.instructables.com How awesome would that be to have these babies floating around the room, or even scattered on the ground on the dance floor. Pretty cheap & easy to make also. And I'm sure it would be a hit with kids attending the wedding.  They look so pretty, and soft.

Here is the DYI instructions: Click Here

  • Invitations finally!

Taking a good picture of my invitations has proven to be quite the
challenge. First off, they are printed on this beautiful pearlescent
paper that has this beautiful shimmer. However when you take a picture
of it, that beautiful shimmer turns into an ugly over exposed glare
And on top of that the crappy lighting in my apartment doesn't help
much either. But here they are folks! I tried my best. Without
further ado, I present to you my invitations, that are printed in not
one, not two, but THREE different languages! Haha...

  • Let Me Entertain You...

What kind of entertainment will you be having at your wedding?  Miss Emerald's Post got me thinking about this.  Because other than the traditional slideshow (which I have been procrastinating to make) I am also considering having a few performances at my wedding.

From when I was about 8 years old up until college I have been part of my temple's music and dance troupe.  As far as I can remember Thai traditional dance has been a part of me growing up.  Wether it was waking up early for practice, or stay up waaaay late for more practice before a big show.  We performed everywhere.  The Metropolitan Musesm of Art, Harvard, Rutgers, Concert Halls, even overseas.  The list goes on & on.  All of the money we made went to the temple & to charities for children in Asia; mainly Thailand, but there were some proceeds that went elsewhere.  I could not imagine not having at least one Thai cultural dance for my wedding.  There's one in particular that I would like to be performed at my wedding.  It is called 'Lao Duang Duern', and it is about a courting couple, and the boy is professing his love to his girlfriend.  It is not only a fitting and a very sweet dance; but it was a favorite of my late grandmother.  And I also want it to be a small tribute to her.  It's very sentimental to me.  Here are some pictures of Thai dances.  (No, none of these are me.  But I'll scan some & post some when I get the albums from my mom's house to show you all later)

Another type of performance that I am still considering is a Chinese Lion Dance.  Yes, the kind that you see during Chinese New Year's.  This would be in honor of my Husband's heritage.  And he was also once part of a lion dance troupe so I'm sure it would be something he would really love to have. I love the upbeat drumming and the liveliness of the lion dance.  I've contacted some lion dance troupes already, but I'm still debating wether to do this or not.

Do you think it would be overkill?  As a guest would you enjoy to have these performances at a wedding?

(yes, yes, invite pictures are comming!! :) )
